Broke my front tooth off last night

Was messing around with a buddy. He went to throw something at me and I turned to get up the stairs real fast and the front door was open. BAMMMM right into the fucking door. Snapped it right off. Spent an hour in the Dentist's office this morning, had to have a root canal. Fuck those hurt. Drilling holes right through your truth and destroying that nerve ending.


Worst news- Can't get me in until Friday. This is very embarrassing.

I'm a dentist in CR, out of curiosity how much does a root canal treatment cost, and then the crown....

after that, I'll say the costs down here and you can either laugh or come down here and get it done, as allot of people are doing it...

I may have to get an implant to replace one of my lower front teeth that is damaged. I find out tomorrow.
The dentist told me it would be $3600 but my insurance will cover $2200
Either way too much but I don't want to look like a hillbillie with no tooth.

I'm assuming they had to do a pulpotomy also on you.

pulpotomy= $200

root canal= $900

Porcelain Crown= $1100-1300

I know of some implant specialists that charge 4500 and above! Makes me sick when sometimes they can't even align it properly in the mouth despite all the x-rays they make you go through.

Hey Melchor..you really a dentist? I am fascinated by the idea of coming down there for work.

Short summary...My uppers are beat to hell (four extractions and a half dozen chipped, broken).

So this past spring decided to have the remaining 12 uppers extracted and a nice upper plate created. (removable kind).

I had five of the extracations done for like $1000 but that exhausted my insurance dough for the calendar year.

I still have seven uppers in varying disrepair which need extraction and then I need the denture created.

Estimated remaining cost from my current dentist is about $3000.

A roundtrip ticket to CR for me is about $700.
